  • "When I had the opportunity to attend an Improv Workshop, I was thrilled to participate and learned so much from Ann Marie Mohr and the caregiver participants. I realized that I had been managing incidents and situations better than I thought but I did learn many new skills that have increased my confidence as his caregiver. Some of the incidents that use to stress me out, are now handled with greater ease and have much more positive outcomes by utilizing these new skills. I highly recommend that they continue for years to come!"

    Caregiver | Laugh Lab

  • " The improvisation sessions that include caregivers and loved ones with Alzheimer’s gives us a chance to ENJOY each other! What a gift THAT is! It’s the highlight of my time with my mother because it is so fun to see her laugh and to engage as an equal. When we are trying to come up with ideas in the moment, she’s as sharp as I am! It is awesome to see."

    Caregiver | Laugh Lab

  • "These sessions have been enjoyable, educational and very thought provoking. You are a very patient and knowledgeable facilitator that knows her topics and shares them in a fun and realistic way."

Your Growing Impact

  • The Laugh Lab

Participants may not remember every activity, but they remember how they felt.

Through laughter, creativity, and connection, Laugh Lab creates joyful moments for people living with dementia while strengthening the relationships that matter most. Today, we serve 20 locations across 17 zip codes in two states.

  • Caregiver Camp

The right tools can change the course of the dementia journey.

Caregiver Camp equips family caregivers with practical communication strategies that reduce frustration, build confidence, and create more meaningful moments together. Since launching in 2026, we've operated on a waitlist. In the coming year, we will serve 50 caregivers through five 4-week interventions.

  • Caregiver Connections

No one should navigate the dementia journey alone.

Through our in-person, virtual, and newly added all-male support groups, more than XX family caregivers each year find encouragement, practical resources, and a community that helps them continue to show up with compassion and resilience.

  • Dementia & Communication Presentations

Understanding dementia changes the way we care for one another.

Through XX presentations reaching more than XX participants each year, we're helping families, professionals, and communities build stronger connections with people living with dementia.

"Project Present has always been rooted in the belief that connection changes lives. As the nonprofit funding landscape evolves, we're inviting our community to play an even greater role in sustaining and growing programs that help caregivers, older adults, and individuals living with dementia navigate their journey with less stress and more joy.”
